Happy holidays!
脕rsh谩ti冒 and sports day
It was a busy Wednesday last week in the youth department, with sports day followed by the annual ball, which this year followed a Hollywood theme, with most wearing fancy dress and glamourous masks.
The student council took care of all the preparations for the ball - the hall in Nauth贸ll was beautifully decorated and a special guest, Mr Peanut Butter was invited. The opinion of many students and teachers alike was that this was the best annual ball to date! Everyone has a good time, took to the dance floor and played games, making the hall resound with music and laughter.
The videos the students made this year were wonderful and the whole event filled staff with pride for working with the amazing teenagers of Landakotssk贸li.
Ocean sustainability project
The workshop on ocean sustainability was focused on coastal and marine pollution and its effect on marine animals. It is an art-based learning project designed to engage learners on the imminent danger we face in contaminating the sea. Using the transformative learning concept, facilitators employed interdisciplinary approach to engage learners through series of hands-on creative activities while challenging learners to think about how to transform their existing thoughts to change the world around them. That way they are empowered to become stewards of the ocean, advocating for its preservation.
